Salt build-up is one of the most common reasons a field stops producing what it should. Excess sodium disperses clay, seals the surface and keeps water from reaching the roots, so crops grow under constant stress even when they are irrigated.
Natural zeolite (clinoptilolite) is a volcanic mineral with a very high cation-exchange capacity. Applied in the root zone, it captures sodium and releases calcium, magnesium and potassium, helping the soil regain its structure and allowing irrigation water to flush salts deeper into the profile.
